Japanese Adverbs: Degree and Frequency

Today, we are going to look at the some common Japanese adverbs in our daily conversation.

Degree:  how much / 程度(ていど)

1. Slightly-> 2. Kind of -> 3. Rather -> 4. Quite -> 5. Very -> 6. Extremely

1. 少し(すこし)-> 2. 大体(だいたい)-> 3. かなり / 随分(ずいぶん)-> 4. なかなか -> 5. 大変(たいへん )/ とても -> 6. 非常(ひじょう)に

Frequency: how often / 頻繁(ひんぱん)さ

1. Never -> 2. Seldom -> 3. Sometimes -> 4. Often -> 5. Always

1. 一度(いちど)もない。-> 2. たまに -> 3. 時々(ときどき)-> 4. よく / 度々(たびたび)-> 5. いつも / 常(つね)に
